Billy Graham Rapid Response Team

Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (BG-RRT) chaplains are responding after an SUV plowed through the crowd at a Christmas parade Sunday afternoon in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

The vehicle broke through the barriers and sped along the parade route, killing five people and injuring more than 40 others—including some who remain in critical condition.

“The Christmas season is supposed to be a time of joy as we remember the birth of Jesus and the fact that this Christmas parade turned into such a devastating incident is heartbreaking. We are praying for all of those families who have been impacted by this senseless and tragic event,” said Josh Holland, assistant director of the BG-RRT. “Our crisis-trained chaplains will be there to listen, pray and share the love and peace that can only be found in Jesus Christ to those who are hurting.”

BG-RRT chaplains are also deployed to Whatcom County, Washington, after historic flooding, and to three locations in Louisiana, where they have been since Sept. 1 after Hurricane Ida devastated the area.
