The National Football League (NFL) announced its third annual ‘Night of Pride with GLAAD,’ February 7, 2024, Wednesday night prior to the Super Bowl. The league emphasized its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion as it supports the LBGTQ+ community.

In a press release, the NFL said, “The NFL family and partners will gather to spotlight advances in the future of LGBTQ inclusion in professional sports as well as the NFL’s commitment to LGBTQ former and current players.”

The red-carpet event will be held in Las Vegas during Super Bowl week and feature a live performance by singer-songwriter VINCINT, and the LGBTQ non-profit GLAAD, formerly Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, discussing how “inclusion in sports advances acceptance for LGBTQ people.” The event will covered across CBS Sports, GLAAD and NFL social channels.

Attendees will experience an evening of music, cocktails, and interview-style conversations focused on LGBTQ advocacy and cultural change, according to the Pro-Football Network.

GLAAD has reportedly partnered with the NFL to create “spaces where all fans can celebrate” and grow important “visibility for LGBTQ fans at the Super Bowl” and the rest of the season, according to GLAAD President and CEO, Sarah Kate Ellis.

The LGBTQ+ community long ago claimed June as “Pride Month” and has subjected the masses to “inclusion,” desired or not. According to Tiger Droppings, summertime sports like Major League Baseball (MLB) kowtowed to wokeness and obediently got in line behind the LGBTQ leaders in the gay Pride Parade. Given that football starts in August and ends in February, it doesn’t intersect with the “Pride” festivities. Therefore, it could have easily abstained from giving way to pressure to go “woke,” but the DEI narrative won the war of words.

The Catholic League slammed the NFL for succumbing and joining to the anti-Catholic LGBTQ+ organization GLAAD. The Catholic League questioned if it was taboo to host an anti-gay group, why wasn’t it the same for hosting anti-Christian groups, and why they weren’t reaching out to Muslim, Jewish, and Christian young boys instead of fixating on LBGTQ+ “boys.”

The Catholic League likened the NFL’s action to that of MLB. Reportedly, the ‘Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence’ were invited, uninvited, but ultimately reinvited and praised at the L.A. Dodgers Pride Night in June.

Catholic League pointed toward the NFL commissioner Roger Goodell as the catalyst for the wokeness, noting that left-wing politics in the NFL was not a secret, but embracing Catholic bigotry was out, and their fans would weigh heavily against them.
