Who is Billboard Chris?
Chris Elston a.k.a. “Billboard Chris” is a father of two girls and has decided to take a stand against Gender Ideology. His journey started in Canada after following an Anti-transgender rights activist named Kellie Jay Keen. She expressed her love and support for perhaps one of the world’s greatest children’s authors, in a billboard that read, “I heart J. K. Rowling”. J.K. Rowling, in case you missed it, wrote the Harry Potter series, but she is also an avid supporter women’s rights; more specifically that the Trans movement is erasing women for who they naturally are supposed to be. Well, Keen’s sign was taken down under the premise that it was Hate Speech. Inspired, Chris decided to put up giant billboards of his own all the way from Canada to the US, and after he ran out of money he started wearing the messages – hence the name, “Billboard Chris.”
As a father, he said there was no way he could look at his daughters and do nothing about this “child abuse”. On his website, Chris states that Gender Ideology is a “pseudo-religious movement which claims we all have a ‘gender identity’ which takes precedence over our biological sex”. The idea that a girl has a choice to be super girly or wear sneakers and play in the dirt is a freedom that should be protected, not taken away through Gender Ideology movement. He truly believes children should be free to be who they are, not indoctrinated to believe they were born in the wrong body; which he reasons is the main argument of supporters of this movement.
He is set on doing everything in his power to change the narrative and educate parents so they can protect their children. So, he took to the streets wearing a “Billboard”. His most famous reads, “Children cannot consent to puberty blockers.” His plan – to start a conversation on college campuses, face to face, where the fire is burning with indoctrination. His premise – that the Trans movement is stopping puberty in perfectly healthy children because they are being led to believe they are born wrong.

Think about it; stopping the body’s natural progression into adulthood. For any parent, the idea is hard to wrap your head around. For Christian parents, it’s mindboggling to even ponder, as we should not change the picture, God, our creator, has painted for our children. We prepare ourselves for this phase, this passage, have gone through it ourselves, and look for the physical and mental signs of its coming in our children. Puberty is a natural process of which a child starts to cross into the realm of adulthood. It is never an easy shift, but with a nurturing environment, the journey can be as unique as the child God made. However, somewhere in the 1990’s doctors started “pausing puberty” in children and transitioning them into the opposite sex.
Women, they come in all shapes and sizes, have different likes and dislikes, but a female is a female. Altering that, is altering something divinely sacred. The same applies to a male.
What are Puberty Blockers?
Puberty blockers are medications that prevent the body from producing the hormones that cause the physical changes of puberty. They can be prescribed to children as young as 10 to combat a condition known as Gender Dysphoria – a feeling that they want to be the other gender. There in itself lies the issue. Gender dysphoria. A label given to the natural pre-pubescent tendency to question sexual orientation. NOT change it. Advocates argue that these puberty blockers save lives, critics argue they cause physical harm to children because they are being lied to about the effects of these drugs. And the American Academy of Pediatrics is being sued because of it, under the premise of Child Abuse.
For males this means the preventing of development of facial hair and erectile function. For females this means the preventing of development of breasts and periods. Besides taking away one’s natural form, puberty blockers are being dished out at alarming rates to prepubescent, confused, and emotional children; causing long term harm, especially if they regret the decision to transform in adult hood. Erectile problems, less bone density, osteoporosis, sterility, cardiovascular disease, psychoactive effects, cancer, infertility, tumors, pain, mental disorders; these are just some of the harmful effects of puberty blockers.
His Mission: to “Awaken Lions”.
When politicians refuse to listen and the mainstream media junks any reports, Chris is putting in the foot work with the belief that one conversation will spread like a wildfire and get people thinking and talking. Naturally, as it is moving minds, it is also stirring controversy.
Billboard Chris would argue that this Gender Ideology movement is nothing more than a cult. And just like in any cult, they don’t dissolve until the members have an awakening. While educating parents is at the forefront of his obligations, he is earnestly trying to steer these Gender Ideology advocates to the truth, so that the insanity can stop. However, the current of anger surrounding the Trans Movement is something astounding. In the last four years he’s been assaulted 40 times, arrested twice, and his arm broken once. In 2020, he was peacefully wearing his sign and the opposition were repeatedly screaming obscenities loud enough to burst an ear drum over and over and over then attacked him. He was silent and just holding his billboard. But, the madness and outrageous furry from the Trans supporters turned a peaceful demonstration into an outright assault, with Billboard Chris being blamed for inciting violence and the police arresting him. Sounds familiar.
To walk in a room an preach the truth knowing you’re not wanted, not welcome is hard. God told Ezekiel to keep preaching whether the people listened or not. Jesus preached and was shunned and put to death. But, just how far should someone take preaching the truth? Chris believes it is his purpose. He won’t stop until the child abuse stops; until all the lions are awake. His convictions as a parent are steadfast, insisting that when “we become parents our role is to make the world a better place for our children”. By awakening lions he is living a purpose driven life so parents can protect their children and the world can be a better place for future generations.
Triumphantly, his awakening is spreading. Even with all the backlash and turmoil he receives, his momentum has not slowed; connecting with organizations like Moms or liberty, interviewing with Megyn Kelly, making appearances on shows like the Kevin Roberts Show, and even teaming with lawyers and doctors to help pass legislation in over 22 states to stop the use of puberty blockers in children. His end game is to save as many children’s lives as possible and expose what he calls is the “Biggest child abuse scandal in modern medicine history.”

Child Abuse – (Noun) The definition of Child Abuse is “the physical or emotional or sexual mistreatment of children.”
Informed Consent – ( Noun) Consent by a patient to undergo a medical or surgical treatment or to participate in an experiment after the patient understands the risks involved.
