Accepting Jesus into your life

Welcome to “How to Know God,” a place where you can discover the transformative power of accepting Jesus Christ into your life. This is a journey of faith, redemption, and eternal love. Whether you’re new to Christianity or seeking to renew your commitment, we’re here to guide you through the process of salvation and building a personal relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Understanding Our Place as Humans in God’s Eyes

Before delving into the importance of salvation, it’s essential to understand who we are as humans in the eyes of God. This understanding provides the context for our need for salvation.

Created in God’s Image

According to the Bible, in the book of Genesis, we learn that God created humanity in His own image. Genesis 1:27 (NIV) states, “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” This profound truth reveals that we carry the divine imprint of our Creator, making us unique among all creation.

The Brokenness of Humanity

Despite being created in God’s image, human history is marked by our brokenness and separation from God. The Bible acknowledges that we have all fallen short of His glory due to our sinful nature (Romans 3:23). Our sinfulness, whether through actions or thoughts, creates a barrier between us and our Creator.

Our Need for Redemption

In recognizing our sinful nature and brokenness, we come to understand our need for redemption and salvation. God’s love and mercy shine most brightly in His desire to restore the relationship between Himself and humanity. This restoration begins with the acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

The Importance of Salvation

Salvation is at the heart of the Christian faith. It’s about being reconciled with God, having your sins forgiven, and gaining the assurance of eternal life in His presence. John 3:16 reminds us, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

The Steps to Salvation

Growing in Your Faith

Salvation is just the beginning of your journey with God. As you continue in your faith, we encourage you to:

Read the Bible: The Bible is God’s word, and it will guide and nourish your faith.

Pray: Prayer is your direct line of communication with God. Share your joys, concerns, and gratitude with Him.

Join a Church: Fellowship with other believers can provide support and a sense of community.

Serve Others: Jesus taught us to love our neighbors as ourselves. Find ways to serve and help those in need.

We are excited to walk this journey of faith with you. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions, need further guidance, or wish to share your testimony. Remember, salvation is a gift freely offered to all, and it’s the most profound decision you’ll ever make.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.” (Revelation 3:20)

Let this be the moment you open the door to your heart and welcome Jesus into your life. Your life will never be the same.
