In the depth of the human soul, there exists an insatiable longing for revival—a cry for the refreshing touch of God’s presence that transforms, renews, and restores. Psalm 85:6-7 [TPT] encapsulates this heartfelt plea: “Revive us again, O God! I know you will! Give us a fresh start! Then all your people will taste your joy and gladness. Pour out even more of your love on us! Reveal more of your kindness and restore us back to you!”
The Cry for Revival:
The psalmist’s cry echoes through the corridors of time, capturing the universal yearning for God’s divine intervention. It is a plea for a fresh encounter, a revival that transcends the mundane and revives the dormant embers of our spiritual lives.
Tasting God’s Joy and Gladness:
Revival is not merely an emotional experience but an invitation to taste the joy and gladness that flows from God’s presence. Amid life’s challenges, revival brings a supernatural infusion of joy that surpasses circumstances and finds its source in the unchanging nature of our God.
A Fresh Start:

More Love, More Kindness:
Revival is marked by an extravagant display of God’s affection, a revelation of His heart for His people. As we cry out for revival, we invite God to pour out His love in abundance, to reveal more of His kindness that leads us to repentance.
Restoration Back to God:
The ultimate goal of revival is restoration—restoration of hearts back to God. In the light of revival, we experience the transforming power that draws us closer to the heart of the Father. A divine realignment positions us to fulfill our purpose and walk in intimacy with our Creator.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, revive us again! We long for a fresh start, a taste of Your joy and gladness. Pour out Your love, reveal Your kindness, and restore us back to You. May our cry for revival be met with the transforming power of Your presence, and may our lives be an advertisement of Your power to a hurting world. In Jesus Name, amen!
