The Atheists in Kenya Society have lost a member and a leader.

And it’s for all the right reasons.

The group’s secretary, Seth Mahiga, decided to resign his position because of his newfound relationship with Jesus Christ.

And now, “he is no longer interested in promoting atheism in Kenya,” the group announced.

Check out this tweet about it:

A video posted on Twitter this past Sunday shows the announcement by the new follower of Christ as he shares with others his acceptance of the Lord into his life:

After his revelation to the crowd, the man receives handshakes, praise, and hallelujahs for his decision as music plays and people clap and cheer him on his journey.

But the atheist group isn’t feeling quite so rapturous.

The group said on Facebook that it was a “sad day” for them.

Still, a poster by the name of Prince Smokee Joe took issue with that comment—as the Western Journal pointed out.

“A ‘sad day,’ you say? Well, maybe it is by virtue of your secretary’s resignation, but it’s the happiest day for your former secretary. Whoever finds Jesus is no longer the same person again. Jesus can be found anywhere & everywhere, including within the enormous great walls of atheism. Jesus plunders even hell & lets the bound captives free,” the post read.
