Taylor University president resigns after hosting VP Pence as commencement speaker

Taylor University President Paul Lowell Haines has resigned from the nondenominational Christian university a month after hosting Vice President Mike Pence as commencement speaker. Taylor’s board of trustees announced Haines’ resignation Monday (June 24), noting in a press release on the school website his departure was neither solicited nor encouraged
