President Donald Trump said he would veto bipartisan legislation for a Covid bill and deeming it as wasteful spending. “It’s called the Covid relief bill, but it has almost nothing to do with Covid,” he said in a video posted on Wednesday night. “I’m asking Congress to amend this bill and increase the ridiculously low $600 to $2,000 or $4,000 for a couple.”

The Covid relief bill included $10 million for “gender programs” in Pakistan, including a relief bill that funds a museum that will offer “programming, education, exhibitions” on … “the life, art, history, and culture of women,” and $40 million for the Kennedy Center.
