Opinion | Weighing In on the American Court System

Supreme Court

Buoyed by the Kyle Rittenhouse case, the Durham Report and the results of the recent Virginia elections, many Christians and conservatives cautiously feel there may be hope for America’s institutions. While I understand that we, as a society, have basically been under attack for almost two years now, we must gird ourselves up for the prayer needs are great, as we align ourselves in prayer to “boldly approach the throne of grace.” (Hebrews 4:16) This is an incredibly busy season, particularly for court cases that Christians should have an interest in.

On Tuesday, November 23, the Supreme Court decided if it will hear My Pillow’s Mike Lindell’s case on Election Integrity. Lindell has been gathering evidence diligently, since the 2020 election to prove that there has been international and other illegal interference in the election. For the rest of the week, he will be talking about some of the election integrity efforts on his channel Frank Speech.

The long-awaited Ghisale Maxwell case will come to court November 27. It’s already a miracle that they’ve kept Jeffrey Epstein’s former assistant alive this long. Now even a recent Rolling Stone article reveals that Hollywood is shaking in its boots over this case happening this week. What happened in “Epstein Island?” How much will Maxwell reveal?

Perhaps the most monumental of all the cases is taking place on December 1. The case from Alabama has reached the Supreme Court and has the potential to overturn Roe v. Wade. Will state’s rights prevail as the nation faces an ever-widening divide in the abortion issue?

God’s Word is very clear in showing us God’s commitment to justice. Consider the boldness of Psalm 46 in the Passion Translation:

Here he comes!

    The Commander!

The mighty Lord of Angel Armies is on our side!

The God of Jacob fights for us!

Pause in His presence

8–9

Everyone look!

Come and see the breathtaking wonders of our God.

For He brings both ruin and revival.

He’s the one who makes conflicts end

    throughout the earth,

breaking and burning every weapon of war.

10

Surrender your anxiety.

Be still and realize that I am God.

I am God above all the nations,

and I am exalted throughout the whole earth.

11

Here He stands!

    The Commander!

The mighty Lord of Angel Armies is on our side!

The God of Jacob fights for us!

We are encouraged not to be anxious! We are encouraged that once we know what the Lord wills we must boldly know that He is desirous to perform it. No matter how many disappointments of the past, when God turns the tables, we must know that it’s being set in the presence of our enemies.

I haven’t fully told you my opinion of how you should pray in this article. What I believe and have experienced is that when we go forth boldly in what we believe, we are able to open God’s voice to us because we will run headlong into the natural consequences of what we believe. I want each of us to feel emboldened to do just that with each of these court cases, because it is truly a time that God is asserting Himself in the affairs of this world answering the prayers of those that believe that God will honor His covenant with America. I hope all American believers will shake off all hesitancy and hit their knees for these court cases.
