Television reality star Kim Kardashian West returns to the Oval Office to support President Donald Trump’s prison releases on March 4.
She joins three women — Crystal Munoz, Judith Negron and Tynice Nichole Hall who had their sentences commuted by Trump in February, allowing them early release from federal prison.
“Today Alice, Crystal, Judith, Tynice and I, along with the @cut_50 team will be at the White House bringing light to these women and discuss more change that our justice system desperately needs,” Kardashian West tweets ahead of her meeting with Trump to further push criminal justice reform.

Both Munoz and Hall were serving sentences from drug charges. Negron was convicted in a major Medicare fraud scheme and was sentenced to 35 years as a first-time offender. She was convicted by a jury in 2011 on 24 counts of conspiracy, fraud and money laundering in collaboration with the owners of a Miami-based company.

Kardashian West worked with the White House on criminal justice reform in 2018. She petitioned the president to secure the commutation of Alice Marie Johnson, serving 21 years for a nonviolent drug offense. Trump also signed the First Step Act into law December 21, 2018, before the end of the 115th Congress.
The First Step Act is the first step in transforming federal prisons into safe and effective facilities that will reduce recidivism and to strengthen communities. “The legislation expands rehabilitative programming and earned-time credit opportunities. It also reduces and clarifies mandatory minimums and better provides for the needs of federal prisoners.”
Kardashian West began an apprenticeship with a law firm and plans to take the California bar exam in 2022.
