Franklin Graham, 68, will pray at the Republican National Convention (RNC) on Thursday.

The President and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) and Samaritan’s Purse wrote on Facebook his consternation after watching some of the Democratic National Convention on television last week.

The DNC was remarkably insulting to Christians. A stark difference from 1988 when Rev. Billy Graham gave the benediction at both the Democratic National Convention and the Republican National Convention.

“It has been interesting to see the absence of God, I don’t believe America’s finest hours will be in front of us if we take God out of government and public life. It is God who set the standards we are to live by,” stressed Franklin Graham on Facebook Aug. 20.

He added it is God “who set the standards we are to live by,” noting that many statutes and legislation are rooted from the 10 Commandments.

“It is God who said, ‘You shall not murder,'” he wrote. “It is God who said, ‘You shall not steal.’ It is God who said, ‘You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.'”

“God created us and this earth we live on. Who do we think we are to try to rewrite the rules and run things apart from Him? Who do we think we are to try to take Him out of everything?”

Franklin Graham also called on Christians to resist voting for Democrat Joe Biden and running mate Kamala Harris. In an Aug. 12 tweet, he noted that Biden-Harris would be the most pro-abortion presidential ticket in the history of our nation.

This should be a great concern to all Christians,” he tweeted. “As a follower of Jesus Christ, I am pro-life [and] believe every life is precious to God.” Man must have concern for the physical and spiritual needs of our fellowmen (Psalm 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:37-39; Romans 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10).

The son of the late Rev. Billy Graham warned that the United States is in danger of becoming socialist nation due to liberal, socialist-leaning leadership.

“If this kind of leadership wins in local, state & national elections in November, we’ll see more of this, which would lead to the demise of our nation as we know it.”

According to media reports, Franklin Graham will pray at the podium on Thursday after former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani speaks.
