Florida Governor Ron DeSantis stated he would not comply with the Joe Biden Administration’s witch hunt into parents who do not agree with teaching the Cultural-Marxist Critical Race Theory.

This comes after the DOJ has promised to unleash the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to investigate parents questioning the teaching materials and whether it is even utterly factual in the first place.

In addition to a tweet he made regarding the new DOJ stance, his administration also released a statement saying they don’t want the FBI involved in their state over parents who question a teaching program.

The DOJ is unleashing the FBI on concerned parents who want what is best for their kids due to what they say are threats of violence over the Marxist teaching program.

However, the DOJ has provided no cases of such threats of violence nor even provided any particular cases they are looking into.

In a document from the Attorney General, they will not simply stop at violence or threats of violence but, in the vaguest terms imaginable, say they will also look into “other forms of intimidation and harassment.”

Without clear definitions of these terms from the DOJ, something as simple as calling a teacher out on their teaching of Critical Race Theory could be within the scope of the FBI’s investigations.

Terms such as “intimidation” and “harassment” have been historically vague. For instance, legally, there is no federal definition of what constitutes harassment and it often relies on state laws, which vary.

Harassment could include something a teacher finds “annoying,” according to U.S. legal. DeSantis says he is using Florida’s definitions of the terms rather than allowing the FBI to conduct investigation into his state’s citizens over their opinions on what their children will be learning in the classroom Townhall reports.

Critical Race Theory is a factually inaccurate history of the United States built on the faulty premise that race was the single greatest quantifier in American affairs from the colonial period onward. Multiple historians have thoroughly debunked the narrative. However, that has not stopped Leftists from attempting to teach it nationwide by forcing it into the curriculum.

Critics of Critical Race Theory are more concerned with the cherry-picking of history to serve a political ideology, arguing history should be told objectively and without any biases or political propaganda. And in the minds of those who dislike Critical Race Theory, the DOJ unleashing the FBI on parents doesn’t help the case that Critical Race Theory isn’t political.

Many people who express doubt over teaching Critical Race Theory are teachers, historians, and school administrators. One teacher who works at Grace Church High School, a Christian private school, stated in an open letter he published online, “as a teacher, my first obligation is to my students. But right now, my school is asking me to embrace . . . pedagogy that I believe is deeply harmful to them and to any person who seeks to nurture the virtues of curiosity, empathy and understanding.”
