D.C. Prepares for Inauguration Amid Tight Security

AFP News Agency reported National Guard troops will watch traffic in downtown Washington, D.C. where streets have been blocked off with concrete barriers and high security fences. The inauguration of Joe Biden is taking place amid unprecedented security following the Jan. 6 storming of the Capitol by supporters of President Donald Trump. Five people died in the attack, including U.S. Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick and Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt, who was fatally shot by police during the riots.
