Changing America One Show at a Time

Pastor and conservative radio talk-show host Greg Young is one of countless people leading the charge in transforming America through media with Chosen Generation Radio (CGR). In addition to collaborating with Think Tank TV, a subscription-based platform for Conservactive news and policy programs for eight dollars per month. CGR is on numerous radio stations across the country and growing. Young’s show began seven years ago when God spoke to his heart.

“God gave me Chosen Generation Radio based on 1 Peter: 9.”

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

There are three aspects Young focuses on — a concentration on Islam, the homosexual agenda and secular humanism. Secular humanism “opens up too much of what America is facing today, as our culture and body politic have removed God and inserted government and man as the supreme beings. This has destroyed the family and destroyed the education system in America,” Young explained.

He also reports on news through a Biblical lens. “Our Founding Fathers gave us a Christians base, a representative Republic. Quite honestly, I think we squandered it. It’s like a building that caught on fire, except for the frame. The frame for our country still exists. The Constitution is still in place. It’s been tattered, misinterpreted, miscommunicated and misrepresented. We were built on a culture of life and now we are built on a culture of death.” He equated it to Ezekiel Chapter 37.

“Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

This remains relevant in our culture today. People like Young are sounding the alarm by speaking to the dry bones of our country.

“Each one of us putting our hands to the plow makes plowing much easier and we have a lot of dirt to plow. The church has remained silent or made concessions rather than preach the power of the cross to overcome sin and set the captives free. We have forgotten the power of the name of Jesus Christ whereupon every knee shall bow and every tongue confess. Jesus was unconcerned about offense when it came to teaching and preaching the truth.”

Conservative talk radio took off after 1987 after the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) stopped reinforcing the Fairness Doctrine. The Fairness Doctrine mandated that stations offer opposing views. Today, over 2,000 stations offer Conservative views and news, including Young’s program.
