“It is not a joke,” said a former witch who turned to Jesus. “The Owl House,” a new Disney cartoon, is teaching kids that being a witch is fun, cool and they can combat darkness with darkness.

Harmless. It’s just a show, right? Not so, said Jenny Weaver. She shared her scary account with the occult on CBN’s The Prayer Link.

She said parents need to pay attention as witchcraft is treacherous territory.

“I actually watched a movie that was very popular when I was in high school and it was called “The Craft.” And the movie was about four high school witches that had all of this power, that had all of this control.”

She remembered hearing these voices, “‘Just kill yourself. Just go away. It would be better off if you would just die.’ And so, I started to cut my wrists severely. I remember having 56 cuts all up and down my arms. My arms were shredded. And it was a way in my mind that I was able to escape,” described Weaver.

The demonic realm inspired her to become a witch.

“It was a demonic hold on my life that caused me to open doors to witchcraft and practicing spells and incantations and studying the religion of Wiccan,” she said.

This is the reason she wants to reach parents when ministering: “It’s not a joke when we say be careful what your children are watching.”

That realm is very real, just like the Kingdom of God and the Holy Ghost is real, so is that realm.

“And when you get in that realm and you open that door because the enemy wants to take you out.”

Her life was once spiraling out of control. She became a lesbian and began a path deep into drugs.

“I was smoking methamphetamines in dope houses, sleeping in people’s sheds, being tore up by bugs all day long. And so, I remember just crying out to God. I cried out to the top of my lungs, I said ‘God Help Me!’”

God heard her and liberated her from the darkness. “God rescued me,” she said.

Weaver is now a true worshipper and lover of God. Transformed by His renewing power, her heart is to direct people into an encounter with the Holy Spirit that will transform them as well.

“I am amazed at the hand of God on my life,” she said on her website. “The key to success is not chasing after IT, it’s chasing after HIM!”

2 Corinthians 4:6 – “For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.”
