Edgar Harrell, a retired Marine, survived the sinking of the USS Indianapolis in 1945. He is a man whose miraculous story is inspiring Americans to appreciate more the cost of freedom. Sixteen million veterans served our country in World War II. Today, Harrell is one of the more than 855,000 still alive.
